The Piping Industry Apprenticeship board has its own school at 1329 Cliveden Avenue, Annacis Island, Delta, BC. The Trade School has been in existence since 1981, but moved to our present facility five years ago. The School consists of classrooms, office and shop space and has a total area of 16,000 square feet.
The Trade School runs day and night classes to satisfy the needs of the industry's contractors and the union membership.
The School provides training in all of the three piping trades as well as Pressure Welding. Apart from being a recognized school by ITAC the facility is also a recognized certified testing agency registered with the BC Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Branch.
The Joint Apprenticeship Training Board sponsors some 50 apprentices per year within the 3 piping trades. Currently there are approximately 250 apprentices indentured to the Piping Industry apprenticeship Board.
